You measure down to 3 degrees and deeper? So could humidity over time have created corrosion in the connection of the sensor?

It is buspowered with Vdd pin grounded and has worked properly for about
two years. There are only two branches, 4 sensors with about 25 m of
twisted telephone wire.

Hi Håkan,

How did you connect it? Is it bus powerd (Vdd pin should be grounded
in that case) or does it use an extra power supply? How is the
topology of your network (length, number of sensors, how many
branches/how long)?

regards,
Markus

I have a remote DS1820 that consistently reads exactly 85 degrees C,
both in cached and uncached modes, when the real reading should be
around 3 degrees.
Has anyone seen this kind of failure before, is there anything I can do
about it remotely or do I have to go there and put in a new sensor?
Thanks in advance for any tip
