Chatgpt saved my day, it seems that the usb disk was interfering the
i2c signals on the bus by air..., yes i use pull up's of the i2c bus
with 2K2. The bus has short wires of about 10cm to a external pcb with
the ds2482 devices.
When i placed the usb disk outside the metal casing the problem was
gone.. The usb disk has plastic casing at one side.
Maybe usefull for someone also?

Hi all,
I’ve just lost a couple of days troubleshooting this…
I’ve been using a BeagleBone Black with a DS2482-800 for years without
any issues to control my greenhouse. Recently, I decided to upgrade
and switched to three DS2482-800s on a Raspberry Pi. At first,
everything seemed fine—the devices and sensors were detected. However,
from time to time, the DS2482-800 and the connected devices would
disappear.
After some digging, I found the cause: I had also connected a SATA/USB
disk to the Raspberry Pi for storage. Somehow, the disk interferes
with the I²C interface. When running |i2cdetect -y -r 1|, the I²C
addresses occasionally disappear.
Has anyone experienced something similar? It doesn’t seem to be a
1-Wire issue, but rather a Raspberry Pi flaw.
Thanks,
Nico
