I'm not yet running OC (due to lacking hardware), but a webdav server
with digest auth and ssl with a self signed certificate. this also works
with windows (windows 7 x64 pro & home) if you tell the internet
explorer to accept the self signed certificate usind these instructions:

I did not check if it remembers the credentials when I reboot, but for
me it solved the ssl issue. maybe this also works for an OC server :)
