Hi Philip, I took up the junior job for included modernizr.js and a polyfill for placeholders in the contacts app. Modernizr has been implemented and the polyfills pull request is still pending in contacts_rework branch branch of ownCloud/apps. I guess it will done as soon as Thomas Tanghus confirms it. :)
Here is the link to the pull request. https://github.com/owncloud/apps/pulls Thanks On Fri, Sep 28, 2012 at 1:24 AM, Philip Taffner <[email protected]>wrote: > You should use code, which aborts if the browser has native support for > the placeholder attribute. > > Example: https://github.com/mathiasbynens/jquery-placeholder > > More polyfills are listed here (scroll down to "Web Forms: input > placeholder"): > > https://github.com/Modernizr/Modernizr/wiki/HTML5-Cross-Browser-Polyfills > > Am 27.09.2012 18:32, schrieb Jörn Friedrich Dreyer: > > Shouldn't we use an HTML5 placeholder attribute? and maybe > > > http://www.hagenburger.net/BLOG/HTML5-Input-Placeholder-Fix-With-jQuery.html > > > > I'm asking because chrome prefills the dialog with my credentials which > > causes the label to overlay the prefilled text, which looks ugly... > > > > so long > > > > Jörn > > > _______________________________________________ > Owncloud mailing list > [email protected] > https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/owncloud > -- Sincerely, Raghu
