Perhaps I am unable to clearly tell you why we need to go with something like 
bootstrap.

I never said we should go with a full bootstrap, although I do think a lot of 
bootstraps JS _could_ work better than the current implementation in ownCloud 
(no offense). 
But, you should note that this is very likely to be a personal taste.

Never the less, I don't think and never said a full Bootstrap-implementation 
will make things better or bring us more.

But, picking the most desirable elements of Bootstrap, and adapt it to ownCloud 
will make things more consistent. Currently the UI is good, but could be 
improved.

I'm not going to discuss all the other things here, because I think most of 
them are personal tastes and - in the end - needs to be inside a proper theme, 
which could fully override and unset the current look of ownCloud.

Cool.. Sounds KISS.
Any idea on how to keep things this simple? Do want to have some default 
regions which get their content pushed from ownCloud and it's apps?
