Hello,

Thank you for this new release for testing.

I would like to test the client in a reproducible way. For this, running ocsync
client from a command-line or script is an interesting option as opposed to
running mirall client which is bound to a desktop and gui environment.

Is running ocsync and mirall clients equivalent in terms of syncing behaviour?
Should I expect the same sync result from both clients? Would potential bug
reports from ocsync CLI run be relevant to mirall?

Looking into the structure of the source coude I would assume that they answer
is yes, and that would be very good news. I just want to cross check with the
developers if I am not missing some detail here...

Thanks,

kuba

Hi,

Today we are releasing ownCloud Client 1.3.0 beta 1. New features include:

- Big file chunking (e.g. up/download of big files should now be no problem
anymore)
- Resuming (download of big files will resume)
- Server side directory moves will be detected
- No more false conflicts, ever
- Legitimate conflict files only on client side
- New setup wizard, defaulting to root syncing (only for new setups)
- Solved problems with lock files
- Bug fixes
- Improved thread stop/termination

Packages for Windows, Mac OS and Linux are available from
http://owncloud.org/sync-clients/#testing.*

Happy testing! We appreciate any feedback.

Cheers,
  Klaas & Daniel

*) We are currently having trouble to build Ubuntu/Debian packages. This will
be hopefully resolved by tomorrow.
