Please make sure that the parameter that you want to edit, disable or
remove is selected in the list of parameters. If there is no selection
in the list the buttons Edit, Disable and Remove are disabled. For
example after using the Remove button there is no selection in the list
until you click on one list item.

As I said, the problem disappeared once I restarted oXygen. I've
