Hi,
The ENTER key pressed anywhere in the Author visual editing mode (except
in space preserve elements) will propose as first solution a solution to
split the current block element. As an uicontrol is an inline element,
it will propose to split the paragraph containing the uicontrol.
If you right click the contextual menu in the Author editing mode has a
"Refactoring" submenu containing a "Split Element" action. This action
will also split inline elements.

user presses Enter within <menucascade>
Hi Kris,
Actually pressing ENTER when editing anywhere in the Author visual
editing mode will show the content completion window.
So I don't quite understand what you mean.

Is it possible to configure oXygen to do the following:
1. DITA user adds a <menucascade> element.
2. With the cursor within the <uicontrol> element, the users presses
Enter. RESULT: Another <uicontrol> element is inserted.
By default, in this scenario, oXygen inserts another of the element that
contains the <menucascade> element -- which usually is not desired in
this situation.
