Should work. At what point are you getting this error message? As soon as you
put the disk in? or when you try to install from the splash screen?

If the former, have you checked that the disk is good?

Cheers
Ken

Subject: [OT] Windows Server 2012 and SQL Server 2012

Folks, I installed Windows Serevr 2012 Standard into a Hyper-V VM and it seems
to run nicely. I haven't pushed it hard, but IIS is running and all the
defaults for networking seem acceptable and it's on my domain.

I stuck in the SQL Server 2012 SP1 disc just to try it out but it says "The app
can't run on your PC". Searches hint that the combination is valid, but not for
me. Am I missing something?

Greg
