'WOMEN'S EXPERIENCE OF FEMINIST THERAPY AND COUNSELLING'
by Eileen McLeod. £14.99 published by Open University Press

This is a very accessible and provocative study which refreshingly
interconnects culture and class with feminist therapy and counselling.
McLeod is never dogmatic but raises crucial questions.
* How equal and egalitarian can therapy be?
* Why do women become angry when they are socialised to be compliant?
* How useful is counselling to women suffering extreme poverty?
I liked the way she connects the importance of expressing anger as a way of
 developing progress. An excellent read.
 Reviewer: Julia Pascal.
