Does the Bachelor of Midwifery degree now exist?

Hello Colin,

its great to see you lurking on the list and supporting your wife in her
midwifery journey.

The Bachelor of Midwifery (B Mid) a 3 year undergraduate degree in midwifery
- will commence in Australia in 2002. Just how many institutions will be
offering the degree next year is still unknown, with two courses confirmed in
SA and two proposed courses for Victoria still awaiting accreditation with
the Nurses Board of Victoria (NBV). The two South Australian universities set
to begin in 2002 are: Flinders University
(http://adminwww.flinders.edu.au/courses/ugrad/bachelor/bmid2.htm) and Uni SA
(http://www.unisanet.unisa.edu.au/courseinfo/DisplayCourse.asp?Course=UBMY&Str

eam=1&Division=HSC). The Victorian Universities awaiting course accreditation
are Australian Catholic University
(http://www.vtac.edu.au/cgi-bin/coursesrch/course.cgi?&coursecode=12021) and
Victoria University, St Albans Campus.

Yours in birth,
