Hello Macha, I'm all for it.  I believe B.Mid will create a group of professionals dedicated from the start to midwifery care, hopefully without the medical bias so many of us have had to struggle with and against through our nursing careers.   The former entry route to midwifery needs to be kept open for all those RN's who will eventually study to become midwives.  The cost of study (and consequent loss of income)  is a limiting factor for so many aspiring midwives.  Best wishes, Lois Wattis (Home Birth Midwife with Community Midwifery WA)
