Hiya. I've recently gone back to work as a laboratory technition at a secondary college. Attending an inservice, my colleagues want to 'engage' the science students more, so 1 way to do this is to do tours of local factories etc. Meiji is a factory in our town, and I dont know if any of you know, but meiji is a popular infant formula in Asia. When writing up the report for the proposals, I deliberatly left meiji out, but Im sure someone else will remember. Should I voice my humble opinion to the teachers? Is it really such a bad thing for the students to tour a formula factory? I think a little more thought needs to go into what we are teaching our children, just by going on an excursion, are we going to make future formula feeders? Any opinions or advice?
