Yes, I have read the book and found it quite
interesting and reminisant to my experience. I found it interesting also
that when Medscape did a review on the book, the anger and mistrust was
dismissed because Naomi must not have been mentally fit. They made some
comment about her not being able to give a true account of birth and
backed that by saying 'she didn't even acknowledge her child as a person until
months later'. What they didn't get was the lack of opportunity to bond
with baby after having cs can cause you to be distant and detached to the
child! If she was displaying a slanted view on the birth due to
emotional distress, then it was because of the birth and the trauma
associated with it!
Overall there was some aspects that I did not agree
with but she pegs the "what to Expect when you're expecting" as the trash that
it is!
