Hi List,   I was living in Holland when I was pregnant and had 2 vaginal ultrasounds. The first one at 10 weeks (for a small bleed) and the second at 13 weeks (for nuchal fold test). I asked the Obst. why a vaginal u/sound, and he said that he could get a better view of the fetus at this early gestation. These were done by two different Obs. and is standard in the 1st trimester.
