How would I know? I never weigh babies at day 3. In a well population, even if not feeding too well on the first few days they usually pick up. One can tell by looking at them if they are not doing well. Weigh on day 10 is a good measure and even then I don't worry tooo much. Most of the time I believe that scales are a superfluous piece of equipment. MM
