I started massaging my boy when he was quite new, and we both got so much out of it - we still do (he's 3 now
* skin-to-skin as soon as possible after birth.  
 
* telling my child the things I wanted to say to him when he was born, but couldn't because we were separated after the birth
 
I whispered those words to him at night as he slept. 
 I told him after his afternoon nap, when he was still drowsy.
 I will never forget the look of wonderment and delight on his face (this was only quite recently).
