I loved reading all your stories, thoughts and wisdom on having children present at birth. I agree with Robyn that it should be a "special family event". I now have some wonderful stories to tell my husband. I especially liked the one Sally told about the 3 year old that sat on her lap and helped her catch the baby for her mum. Made me think of my second daughter, sounds like something she would do.
Like Megan said "just prepare them as best you can for the birth and enjoy the time". I'll definitely try and do that. I seem to be planning this next birth to the nth degree and it's a few years away. Is this a bad thing? I worry sometimes that I may be obsessing over it, but it's probably just because it'll be my last time.
