It appears there are rumours that Australian College of Midwives may
have funded Werna Naloo.

I would like to take a moment to inform readers that Werna Naloo
Bachelor of Midwifery Consortium (partners Victoria University,
Australian Catholic University and Monash University all of Victoria)
did not receive any grant or any other monies from Australian College of
Midwives.

If anyone is under the impression that the Consortium received such
monies they are mistaken. They are probably confused with the ACMI
Bachelor of Midwifery Taskforce which developed Accreditation Standards
for Bachelor of Midwifery programs.

The Consortium was entirely funded by its partner organisations. No
grant monies were received from any other source.

This message has been posted at the request of Consortium partners who
are distressed at the rumours.

Chair, Werna Naloo Consortium
Senior Lecturer in Midwifery and Nursing
Monash University
