Thanks Sue - yes it was VERY special for both of us
(Mum and I ) - after the birth - we were all sitting in the loungeroom with
our cuppas, and Mum and our midwife had a lovely catch-up curled up on the
lounge!!!
I was even doubly blessed to have TWO beautiful
midwives....that same midwife.. AND another beautiful
treasure/midwife for my care and labour/birth, too - it just couldn't have been
any more perfect!!!
kind regards,
Nicole
ps. my Mum had a back labour for my sister, too (as
with the woman in the beautiful birth clip)... she was active during labour...
lots of walking, showers etc... but for the actual birth - preferred to be
sidelying on her bed. I remember her yelling "my back! my back!" to alert us to
concentrate our massaging there!!!

Mother Nature's son. It is from the White
Album and I have not been able to get it out of my head ever since. I had to
go and blow the dust off my ancient copy and play it again, complete with
scratches. Which probably makes me the same age as your
mum!
How very special for both you and the midwife to
be together again for birth, first your sister then your child.

I too recognised Paul McCartney's voice -
having grown up listening to The Beatles with my die-hard Beatles fanatic
Mum!! My Mum had a homebirth with my youngest sister (14 years
ago).... and watching the clip... with Paul McCartney's voice.. was
lovely!
(As a footnote.... I had a homebirth for my 3rd
baby last year.... and my homebirth midwife was the SAME one
that 'caught' my sister at my Mum's homebirth... 13 1/2 yrs
earler.... very lovely!!)
Question - What is the actual TITLE of
the song.. anyone???!!!
cheers all,
Nicole

I thought I recognised the first song from
long trans-state car drives as a child (my mum is a big beetles and denver
fan) but I wasn't quite sure. Now if they had played Neil Diamond I could
have probably guessed better! Ah love those childhood memories, especially
when they pop up like that.

Megan,
If you are still interested in the music,
(don't know if the mom told you) here you go:
First song:
Words and music by John Lennon and Paul McCartney
John
Denver version too.
This song appears on two albums, and was
first released on the Rocky Mountain High album, and has also been
released on the An Evening With John Denver album as a live
version.
Born a poor young country boy Mother Natures
Son All day long Im sitting singing songs for everyone
Sit
beside a mountain stream See her waters rise Listen to the sound
of pretty music as she flies
Find me in my field of
grass Mother natures son Swaying Daisies sing a lazy song beneath
the sun
And the 2nd song:
"Do You Realize??" is
one of the standout tracks from the Flaming Lips 2002 album, Yoshimi
Battles the Pink Robots.
Do a search for the Flaming Lips and
you'll find the lyrics.
Regards
Jayne

because I had a 3rd degree tear, everything is healing and we love our
