hello list Thanks to Anne and Jodie for the info re becoming a client at the RBWH birth centre. Unfortunately my SIL is not one of the lucky few who get to be a client there but she is on the waiting list so who knows.
thanks again nicole Hi Nicole The ballot system at RBWH is appalling, and the fact that only 1-2% of births occur in birth centres, despite the demand. Rather than wait and hope it would be great if your SIL wrote a letter to the Editor of the Courier Mail or got on talk back radio etc. Jodie Miller, Bruce Teakle, Cesca LeJuene and other committed warriors helped to get some great coverage at the recent 'airing the laundry' event but they need help especially from pregnant women unable to access the BC.
