Actually it means Prelabour Rupture of the
Membranes. Usually it is expressed as PROM-T which is Prelabour ROM at Term or
PROM-P, which is prelabour ROM Preterm.

I believe PROM stands for Prolonged Rupture of
Membrane especially if it is mentioned in relation to Term.
