I've never heard of this prog but will be investigating. My friend (in Tassie) who turned up at the primary school was asked by the principal so it's not really reinventing anything ; )

Janet,Perhaps the 'Core of Life' girls would consider extending their secondary school program to primary schools.See: www, coreoflife.orgYou could suggest it to them ( Deb & Tracey). Why reinvent the wheel, the program is already hugely successful ? The BMid student could train to be trainers.Their (BMid)workload is already so huge I can't see how they'd squeeze any more in personally !BM----- Original Message -----From: Janet FraserSent: Thursday, August 18, 2005 3:01 PMSubject: Re: [ozmidwifery] Doctor dystocia-- This mailing list is sponsored by ACE Graphics. Might be an interesting project for midwifery students to do? Introduce the concept of midwife to the kids. Cheers
A friend of mine did just this while pg recently. She parked her big belly and her home birth plans in front of some primary school kids. She said it went really well. So normalising!
