The December 23 deadline for cheap early registration for the
Preparing for Birth Conference is only a couple of weeks away. This
is a special event and vital for those of you who are (or know
someone who is) involved in parent education. The program is terrific
and relevant, and the whole event will be one to remember (we have
some special ideas up our sleeves!)

Now, the important bit is this: To be eligible for the cheap rate,
your registration needs to be postmarked (or dated, if on-line) no
later than December 23. If you are expecting your hospital to support
your attendance, they can be slow in doing the paperwork. It may help
if we issue a proforma invoice, but we will need to do this quickly
if they are to pay by the cut-off date. Of course, if they are not
worried about paying a bit extra, then there is no rush! If you need
a proforma invoice, please either telephone 02 9564 2322 or email
to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with the details (hospital name and address; for attention of; your
name and Department) and make sure you include a phone number where
we can contact you.
An alternative, to make sure you get the lower rate, would be for you
to register and pay, and then seek reimbursement from your employer.
Many have needed to do this in the past, and again you will have a
Tax Invoice that will make the Hospital paperwork easier.
The registrations are rolling in, and all workshops will be filled on
a first-come-first served basis as there are strict limits on the
numbers in each group.
BTW, don't forget the "Empty Arms: making a difference when a baby
dies" tour with Sherokee ILse in February. This program is proving
incredibly popular and Sherokee doesn't want to groups to be too
large, so some limits may have to be put in place. The details about
