Hi guys,
I've not dealt with extranets and SharePoint before. I have read many books and
online resources about extranets but nothing beyond the how to's
after you extend a web application.
So here's the scenario, I have a SharePoint environment with over 100 sites as
an Intranet, multifarm set up.
I wish to expose a team site for an extranet.
My company purchases a new server which will act as the server which clients
will log into to view the extranet, which is outside of the company firewall.
When I go to extend a web application, the root URL is shown - Do I extend this
web application using the default IIS setting or create a new one and pool?
I create this web app with SSL encryption and arrange a certificate for clients
to download once they dial in.
After this.... what do I do?
Can anyone point me to any further guidance or step by step when extending an
intranet into an extranet please?
