Oh i see.. I install moss and vs on my dev machine, i'm not in favour of virtual environment beause i'm using a laptop and using virtual environment is very slow. I solutionise everything and then push my development to Test which doesn't have VS installed.
It doesn't matter if my dev environment is only a single pc and not a farm because since I solutionise everything, it's going to deploy to farm succcessfully anyway. The only thing to watch out is the content db cache that is sometimes corrupted in a farm env which causes timer service can't finish deploying your solution. In the environment i'm working on there are some issues sometimes with the timer service and it can't restart the service because the debugging console interrupts it.
