Reason :- We had a dodgy feature which was implementing content types and we uninstalled it soemtime back,, but didn;t remove the folders from feature folder in 12 hive. It seems when we installed SP2.. it installs all the feature files sitting in 12 hive and reinstall the dodgy ones. I then did a uninstall of feature and things looked fine but content deployment started failing with object reference not set kind of message. I re-ran the config wizard and content deployment seems to be working fine.
