Morning all

Outlook 2010 has the option to utilize 'social network connectors'. On my
machine, I can add Facebook, Linked-In as well as the My Sites from SharePoint
2010. It's a pretty nifty feature.

I've been trying to configure the 'My Sites' connector on a couple of
colleagues machines, however it's not available. They're both on Outlook 2010
and both use our SPS2010 environment regularly (part of our upgrade team, so
they've been doing extensive testing).

>From everything I've read on the 'net, the 'My Sites' connector should be
>there by default. It doesn't have a standalone download or install. I've
>checked 'add and remove programs' and they both use Office 2010 Professional
>Plus, and both installations have been set to 'Install all features on my
>computer', howver the elusive 'My Sites' connector is still missing.

I don't recall adding anything special on my machine to get it working - I just
configured it one day, and everything worked. One thing I've noticed on my
machine that they don't have, is the green 'Add' button under the photos,
however I don't know how to get that there either.

Just to confirm, all of our machines have the social connectors add-in
installed and configured, and I can add the facebook connector on their
machines, but there's still no 'My Site' connector.

Has anyone come across this and / or know how to rectify it?

Nigel
