How does sharepoint decide how to format the dates in a document library
standard view (All Documents)? Is there an xsl file somewhere that it is using?

Thanks for the tip. The symptoms look the same as in the link you provided, so
definitely worth further investigation.

I am just using a standard view.

Looks like this issue

Is it a custom view you are using or just a standard view?

Does the problem mainly manifest with dates that are before the 12th of the
month? That is, dates that could be read either way are being interpreted the
wrong way whereas dates that cannot be interpreted either way are displayed the
correct way?

(eg - 12/1/2013 could be 1st of December or 12th of January. Whereas 13/1/2013
could only possibly be 13th of January.)

If that is the case, then you could narrow down your investigation somewhat.

I should add that the version is SharePoint Server 2010 June 2011 CU (Refresh).

I am having an issue with the format of the out of the box fields:

*         Scheduling Start Date

*         Scheduling End Date

The issue is that when I look at the dates in the pages library, some of the
dates have the incorrect format. Eg 12 January 2013 will display as
1/12/2013 (incorrect format), whereas 21 November 2012 will display as
21/11/2012 (correct format). If I switch the regional settings of the site to
English US then all the dates show in US format. If I then switch it back to
English Australia it shows some of the dates in the correct format and other
dates in US format.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Cheers,
Caroline
