If you don't want to write your own cross-site list view web part then there
are some free options around.

The one below uses jQuery to create a list view snapshot. Just tweak your
options, add the script to a Content Editor Web Part and you're done.

MM,

Our company represents KWizCom in Australia and NZ, and they have several
products in that area of functionality.
The one that answers your need is the remote list viewer - which shows a view
of a single list from one site in other sites:

You may also want to look at list aggregator - which shows an aggregation of
several lists from several site in one site:

Finally, the Enterprise Aggregation Caching Feature helps with aggregating a
large amount of data when using the above aggregator.

Subject: Cross Site Collection Data lookup

All,

We are using SP 2010 and looking for a way to view or lookup data across site
collections from one main list.

EX:
Have one massive customer list on one site collection, display different views
of that list on other site collections.

Any solutions would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike
