+1, definitely agree.
He is in the top five contributors based on the number of prs, and
helped to review almost the same number of other prs which is also a
significant contributions and a great help to the project. (we always
have to many prs in the queue...)
I am especially grateful for the help in the storage-class POC,
including all the new ideas + stabilization, and I can confirm that I
have good experiences to work together / discuss or trying to find
consensus.
If there is no objection in the next 5 days, I will add him to the
committer list.
IMPORTANT: Established Apache projects usually discuss personal matters
on private lists [1]. In case of any objection please start a thread and
send it to ALL the proposed PMC members (or me, and I will create the
email thread).
Thanks to proposal,
Marton
[1]: Personally I couldn't see any problem to express positive feedback
in public. I wish a place/thread where I can express my respect and
gratitude to other great contributors. (Especially who are teaching me
with persistent patience, despite my endless, curious questions... ;-) )

Thanks Marton for the proposal!
And thanks all for the nomination and for the trust.
Totally agree with Jitendra and Arpit that active contributors are the most
important assets to a healthy community.
Since it's a discussion thread, I'd like to suggest adding Baolong Mao to
the initial committer list.
Baolong started to contribute to Ozone since Dec. 2019 and has made a lot
of contributions so far, refer to the statistics (
https://home.apache.org/~elek/ex.csv).
He is also a nice person to work with and has an open mind. And I'm sure
he will continue to contribute to the community.
We can discuss further if there are other opinions.
Bests,
Sammi

I am +1 for everyone in the currently proposed PMC list, and would
suggest to also include hadoop committers who have committed 10 or more
patches since Jan, 2020. This should cover the active committers who are
already driving the project and deserve to be in PMC.
+1, awesome idea.
I created a query based on this conditions:
https://home.apache.org/~elek/ex.csv
Which based on the following raw data (ozone pull requests)
https://home.apache.org/~elek/github_prs.csv
Will add all the missing people if no objections [1]
Thanks Arpit and Jitenda the suggestions,Marton
ps: I used the condition created_pr + reviewed_pr > 10.The result is
exactly the same but some contributions are more visible in my extract.
ps2: apache_id is identified by heuristic, can be wrong in the csv but
will double check it.
[1] objection can be sent in private and I will distribute it to the
proposed PMC members
