I feel the frustration of not having it now. We use prototypes to gather and
validate most of our requirements and right now our team of Analysts is
using Visio. From everything that came out of mix, I felt it was one of the
features that would impact the most on our current project, but it's one of
the few that aren't available. We definitely would like to give it a try.
About side by side. This is only important if we still need the previous
product. For example, we don't need VS 2005 at all, since we can use VS 2008
to compile apps for v2.0 and we were able to do that even in the Beta Builds
of VS08, but in Blend 3, we can't work with SL 2 projects (same with the SL
tools for VS), so in this case it would be important to run both side by
side.
