Why don't you run the XP machine as a VM?

Thanks Katherine,

We are a Microsoft partner, so there are no worries about it being free or
otherwise.

Doco states it's not supported, and the installer stops you, so I was curious
if anyone had done a manual hack install or something like that.

I am currently pursuing a windows 7 build server for our vb6 assets, this will
probably waste a couple of days.. :(

Thanks

You just have to try it and see. Remember that TFS express, which supports
build agents, is free stuff, so there's no risk in that.

Has anyone successfully installed the 2012 build agent on an xp machine?

I know it's not supported, just wondering. We have an old xp build machine that
is going to be very painful to upgrade (it's used to build vb6 applications
targeted for xp client machines).

Thanks
