What made me think of Ruby/Rails is a comment by Scott Barnes (http://bit.ly/dB9BcY) in his blog on “WPF has no Product Manager” Ruby On Rails has less to work with and they’ve kicked Microsoft’s butt so badly now, that its now considered a competitive threat! do more with less I guess? That together with an e-mail some time back from JetBrains concerning RubyMine brought it into focus. If I am going to devote some of my spend spare time to learning new skills, should I persist with learning WPF (up to chapter 4 in my current book) or drop it and learn another skill that is in demand.. I was quite content learning WPF until these posts rocked my boat so to speak.
