Good to see my post got through.

I did not receive it and there’s nothing in my junk folder.

I doubt that have many, if any similarities. In fact I am a Ruby/Rails
ignoramus so I don’t know.

What made me think of Ruby/Rails is a comment by Scott Barnes
(http://bit.ly/dB9BcY) in his blog on “WPF has no Product Manager”

Ruby On Rails has less to work with and they’ve kicked Microsoft’s butt so
badly now, that its now considered a competitive threat! do more with less I
guess?
That together with an e-mail some time back from JetBrains concerning RubyMine
brought it into focus.

If I am going to devote some of my spend spare time to learning new skills,
should I persist with learning WPF (up to chapter 4 in my current book) or
drop it and learn another skill that is in demand..

I was quite content learning WPF until these posts rocked my boat so to speak.

I don't understand how RoR and WPF are comparable. Ruby/Rails is a crappy web
framework - not a GUI solution for Windows.
