You can have a look at the Cosmopolitan Theme in Silverlight and get the
basics.

Thanks Scott. I'm glad for your sake your designer skills are better than
your analogies. :p

Metro is so dead simple to do inside WPF its like stealing design pixels
from an overweight rich design pixel dude..who owns..lots of pix...ya know
what, i have no analogy here but suffice to say metro is simple.

Tip: Wireframe your UI, then color it in.

Stick to three primary colors, Chrome (aka Accent) | Brand (usually just 1x
color can be 2 ..UPS (Brown/Gold), Aust Post (Red) etc... and Input (Like
your car, you pop the hood and anything yellow means "touch friendly"
anything not yellow, leave it alone..same principle applies.

Now you've been taught metro ;)

Hi Stephen,

Yeah, I'm not sure if there's any solid WPF Metro theme packs around. Our
application (MetroTwit) was the victim of markup theft from the Metro
Toolkit, hence the copywrite infringement you saw on the codeplex site. They
literally took all our XAML and dumped it in a zip, without even modifying
the namespaces so there was MetroTwit references all over it.

It took us a good few months till all our theme files were matured up.

I think Chronos might be the best bet for now.

Cheers,

Hey all,

Am back into the WPF scene, just started a UI Designer role. I want to have
a Metro theme, and the client loves it. So far I've found Chronos WPF which
looks to be in beta, and Metro Toolkit (which says don't use it until they
resolve a copywrite infringement).

Just wondering if anyone has come across anything else? So far in my
searching it's looking like the Metro theme is primarily in the Silverlight
world.

cheers,

Stephen
