Hi Thomas,

I've got this impression by looking at the following two pages.

1. B3 Project Homepage,
http://www.eclipse.org/projects/project.php?id=modeling.emft.b3
It suggests steadily decreasing overall commit activity trend over the last
three years, and that during the last three months you've been the only
committer on the project.

2. B3-dev mailing list,
http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/b3-dev/maillist.html
There is not much activity there, and the only two messages in several months
are from Eclipse Portal suggesting that the latest b3 release is 0.3, and there
are no future releases planned.

Speaking of which, I could not open the b3-users mailing list mentioned at the
project homepage at all because of HTTP 403 error. Summing this up, I assumed
that there was not much development recently, and lacking any usage examples, I
assumed that there are not many users either. After Henrik Lindberg's reply, it
has become clear that there are users, and the users themselves are Eclipse
developers, which means there are interested developers, and the absence of
development rather means that b3 aggregator subproject has probably reached its
1.0, and has all the essential features. Still, it would be nice to get this
information along with links to usage examples directly from the project
homepage.

As for mirroring, I think we'll settle on using tycho-p2-extras-plugin because
this would make it trivial to make mirroring a maven goal, and therefore any
developer, who clones the source, will be able to create a local mirror, and
run all the builds against it. We do have a build server but I would really
like to minimize the number of manual steps necessary to set everything up
because sometimes one has to work without VPN connection and therefore without
access to the build server.

/Mikhail

Not sure what metrics you're using for that claim. The b3 aggregator is
certainly not abandoned.
