the addon system just broken ?

I hear it from playtesters the same thing. The addons folder is no
longer supported or broken.

Well: I could releae all loose files in a zip files but I don't want to.
I want a clean install experience for the user and I thought valve
wanted that with l4d2 as well. And I really hope it's in store for
portal 2 in the future. I'll just not release anything until then.

1) Kill Steam in Task Manager
2) Restart Steam
3) Try again
4) Restart computer
5) Wait for the next SDK update. I've noticed that Valve has an annoying
habit of breaking the SDK for a few days at a time.
