Hello, I am doing a quick survey of the kind of TCP/IP extensions that might be relevant to p2p traffic. I have seen Winny/Share versions using Window scaling (factors of up to 3). SACK - I think recent versions of Windows support by default. Should we expect more and more p2p clients using these? Can we anticipate any other TCP/UDP related extensions/network behaviors being used by p2p clients of tomorrow? A large multiGByte file transfer over a long fat pipe b/w 2 nodes, 1 in US, 1 in Asia should surely benefit from Window scaling + SACK. How about when files are split into chunks and routed across multiple relays to the peer etc?
Just trying to see what developers here have to say about this.
Thanks!
