                  THE FOURTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
                                ON OPEN SOURCE SYSTEMS

                             September 7-10 2008, Milan, Italy

                      CALL FOR WORKSHOPS PROPOSALS

The OSS2008 Organizing Committee invites proposals for the Workshop
Program of OSS2008, the Fourth International Conference on Open Source
Systems, to be held September 7-10, 2008, in Milan, Italy. Workshops
will be on September 10th, immediately after the main OSS2008 conference.

The purpose of these workshops is to provide an informal yet effective
setting for participants to discuss technical issues, exchange research
ideas, and to develop community in the quickly emerging field of
Open Source Software and/or Systems. These workshops may be driven
by fundamental academic interests, as well as by applied industrial or
commercial interests.
We encourage a diversity of workshops relating to Open Source, including
those that:
- bring together inter-disciplinary approaches to OSS development,
- support the interaction of research, industry and policy makers for the
deployment of OSS.

The format of the workshop will be determined by the organizers.
Workshops can vary in length from a half day to a full day. Having more
than one co-organizer for a workshop is strongly advised. Workshop attendees
will have been asked to pay the OSS 2008 workshop registration fee.
