Folks:

Myers Carpenter, who has volunteered to host the list server on a
server of his for years now, said he fixed a configuration issue on
the server which was probably responsible for failures to deliver
mail. David Barrett has agreed to help with moderation duties.

So: maybe the list's technical problems of 2013 are behind us now.

The 2013 Global Surveillance Disclosure ¹ has led to a great deal of
energy being put into privacy-protecting and decentralizing
technologies. This is great fun for me! It is what I have been working
on all along (since shortly before this list was founded, sometime
around the year 2000), and it is exciting to get all this new energy
put into the field.

I'm giving a presentation about Tahoe-LAFS at the "Real World Crypto"
conference in New York next week ². I'm excited about it, because the
previous Real World Crypto conferences have been packed with very
smart and accomplished cryptographers and hackers. If you're there
please say Hi to me!
