I have set up virtual machines (2 PCs, 2 routers) with host-only virtual network interfaces between them and iptables-based NATs. Now I will try different NAT traversal techniques on different NAT types/combinations, and gather the results in an overview. Besides this, I will try out traversing my home router as a real hardware example (which seems to have Restricted Cone NAT) from university.
