Hi Lars, hi all, we took the time and tested drbd 8.4.4-rc in our problematic scenario.
We were able to reproduce the promote error regularly with drbd 8.4.3. After installing 8.4.4-rc we were not able to get this error any more. So, concerning the changes made to get around the known race condition, 8.4.4-rc seems to work. We didn't look at other aspects of the new version. If there is something we should test with your knowledge let us know. That's what release candidates are intended for. You'd only have to confirm that it works for you now. Respectively, that it still does not, in which case you better report that now than after the release, right? -- : Lars Ellenberg : LINBIT | Your Way to High Availability : DRBD/HA support and consulting http://www.linbit.com DRBD® and LINBIT® are registered trademarks of LINBIT, Austria. _______________________________________________ Linux-HA mailing list linux...@lists.linux-ha.org http://lists.linux-ha.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-ha See also: http://linux-ha.org/ReportingProblems _______________________________________________ Pacemaker mailing list: Pacemaker@oss.clusterlabs.org http://oss.clusterlabs.org/mailman/listinfo/pacemaker Project Home: http://www.clusterlabs.org Getting started: http://www.clusterlabs.org/doc/Cluster_from_Scratch.pdf Bugs: http://bugs.clusterlabs.org
