Should I continue to proceed with:

   git commit -sm "Initial import (#1812961)"
   fedpkg push


No do not continue if the archive is not uploaded to dist-git.

Have you identified with kinit first?

i.e. before being allowed to upload something you need to identify yourself to
Koji with Kerberos:

env KRB5_TRACE=/dev/stdout kinit yon...@fedoraproject.org

Then type your FAS username password.
