            Bug ID: 1862078
Summary: Review Request: jakarta-messaging - JMS / Jakarta
                    Messaging API
           Product: Fedora
           Version: rawhide
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
         Component: Package Review
          Severity: medium
          Priority: medium
          Assignee: nob...@fedoraproject.org
          Reporter: decatho...@gmail.com
        QA Contact: extras...@fedoraproject.org
                CC: package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org
  Target Milestone: ---
    Classification: Fedora

Spec URL: https://decathorpe.fedorapeople.org/packages/jakarta-messaging.spec
SRPM URL:
https://decathorpe.fedorapeople.org/packages/jakarta-messaging-2.0.3-1.fc32.src.rpm

Description:
This package contains the API definition source code for the Jakarta
Messaging API.

Fedora Account System Username: decathorpe

NOTE 1: This is a rename-review request for geronimo-jms. Please also verify
that Obsoltes + Provides are correct.

NOTE 2: I have added compat artifact coordinates for what is used in
geronimo-jms. However, I could not figure out why geronimo-jms has osgi()
provides and this package does not (it has maven-bundle-plugin configured, but
it seems to have no effect). But according to a repoquery, nothing depends on
"osgi(org.apache.geronimo.specs.geronimo-jms_1.1_spec)" anyway ...

I have tried to rebuild the two packages with require the JMS API
(apache-log4j-extras and log4j12) in COPR:

https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/decathorpe/jakarta-messaging-newpackage/monitor/

apache-log4j-extras compiled successfully against this package, and log4j12
failed for an unrelated reason (incompatibility with Java 11).
