Three weeks ago i have installed packetfence 1.8.7 in a highavailability
envoirment with drbd and heartbeat.

In my solution i have configured the full pf path /usr/local/pf as drbd
device.
The pf directory included also the database /usr/local/pf/mysql

I thought that this is a good idea, so i only need one drbd device and both
server have the same pf.conf, switch.conf ...

My test works fine. Today i have seen, that since last week packetfence
1.9.0 is available.
So I have thought bevor i go in production with packetfence i install the
new version.

For some inexplicable reason my pf installation would not work.

Now i have seen, that the new installer.pl script makes at the end (after
the mysql database creation) a chown to the installation directory.
So it has changed my permission to the mysql database directory.

Was it a bad idea to install the mysql database in the pf directory?

Or is it possible to change the installer script, that only the installed
files/dir are changed?
- Another simple solution is to print a notification in the installation
process.
- Or make a notice in the Documentation section for the HA when it was a
good idea to include the mysql database in the pf directory.

Thanks!
Andreas
