We, Inverse, saw it running on pretty large environments (25k+ nodes) on what I would consider standard server hardware without performance issues. Also, any properly investigated, reported performance problem we will happily fix and we can provide backported patches if there is interest. Now with all that said, I think others should also answer. But to help them do that, you should define: - benchmark Your needs: what network hardware? what mode of access control? etc. What are you measuring: how many devices/traps/etc.? delays? captive portal page-rendering speed? etc. - special hardware What is "special" hardware seriously? :) -- Olivier Bilodeau [email protected] :: +1.514.447.4918 *115 :: www.inverse.ca Inverse inc. :: Leaders behind SOGo (www.sogo.nu) and PacketFence (www.packetfence.org) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get a FREE DOWNLOAD! and learn more about uberSVN rich system, user administration capabilities and model configuration.
