Hi all,

I'm a packet fence newbie and I'm stuck getting our test environment up and
running. After a few grueling days with a stubborn switch I've got a
proper separation of vlans and I get presented with the captive portal page
when attempting to get to the internet.

I'm testing inline mode right now with the ZEN virtual machine, nothing
fancy.

Here's the bahaviour:

- If I register via either SMS or email I get the notifications but never
get past the redirect on login. I typically see: "Once network
connectivity has been established you will be automatically redirected".
It just redirects me back to the registration page.

- If I preregister a guest in the web gui the correct credentials get
generated and delivered by email but I still can't login.

- In all cases the names and info show up under 'view persons'.

Here is the kicker. If I manage nodes and change the device status to
'registered' my test machines have no issues bypassing the captive portal
and getting on-line, so I don't think it can be the network configuration.

The one thing that confuses me is that if a person registers as a guest and
chooses email confirmation there should be a 10 minute grace period where
the machine is allowed on-line and can check email to click the link. The
browser just never rolls over. I've tested on XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu, I
don't think it can be the browser either.

Has anybody had a similar issue? I suspect I'm missing something obvious.

Warm regards,
Stu
