This message is usually when all the fields are not populated. So even
if you want to do sms registration you need to provide an email, etc.
Also, does your email matches the following regexp?
[A-z0-9_.-]+@[A-z0-9_-]+(\.[A-z0-9_-]+)*\.[A-z]{2,6}
