Is there a reason that you are not using the MAC authentication built into the
switch?
SNMP Traps never really worked all that well for me and required some very
fiddly configuration. MAC auth was simpler for us to setup and has proven very
stable and more importantly scales quite nicely.

Packetfence has to be the dhcp server for the registration vlan and the
isolation vlan.
What about the logs ?

coming from the router. I am able to run the script connect_and_read.pl script
and it shows that it's receiving trap information. My problem is that
PacketFence is not changing vlans when it receives a trap. I have the switch
setup in PacketFence to production mode.
The switch has port-security turned on and set to send alarm
