First check in pfconfig.conf if the db password has been correctly set to avoid messages like : Failed to connect to config service for namespace config: pf, retrying.
Next install postfix on the server and try to send a email. Check the file /var/log/maillog to see why the message hasn't been sent. If you have an internal smtp relay or an isp smtp relay then in main.cf (postfix config) set: relayhost = yourisp.smtp.servername then: service postfix reload And retry to send an email.
